Well after a little drama the softball team was able to come back from an early loss to win the College Station regional and advance to a super regional against the Florida Gators. All three games will be played in Aggieland and carried on ESPN or ESPN2.  Since I'm sure no one has  clue about what the Gators will bring I did some research.  The bigget difference in the stats is the fact that Florida has played 69 games to A&M's 55.  However the ags have a better batting average and have scored more runs on the season.  It looks like it could be a pitching duel as both teams have a sub 1.40 ERA.  Their pitching was dominant in the regional round as they didn't allow a single run in the tourney.  They were also the team that knocked out tu 3-0.

Also being Florida you'd think they'd have a few girls of the hot variety so I took it upon myself to double check for everyone and what did I find?  They stole one out of our own backyard! Lacey Howard is from League City, TX and plays outfield for the gators. She's the only Texan on the team.  I'm highly dissapointed that our coaching staff wasn't able to keep her at home.  Coach Evans needs to look at the players Coach G brought in with the Garey sisters and take notes!

Another weird not is that the Florida coaching staff are all grads of Oklahoma... I just find it interesting that Stoops left Florida for Oklahoma and then Florida has ou coaches. I guess it's not as big a deal as having Stoops but whatevah.  Anyways here's hoping that our girls come in focused and put the first two games away so we're not sweatin' it at the end.
