You've all seen them. Dirk and McGrady doing the short little commercials where they're acting like little kids that are counting down the last 10 seconds of the game with them pulling out a win.  But as it turns out those were not the first takes and we here at Ag Sports Daily came across the first takes of these commercials. It seems that the director told the players to just go with it like they normally would in a game and this is what happened.

Dirk's commercial:
Director:
NBA playoffs commercial take one annnnnnnnnnddd ACTION!
Dirk:(thick german accent)Da Mavs down one 10 seconds on the clock... Nowitzki tries to hide in a corner. Harris finds him anyways. Dirk passes to Terry but Terry passes back. Dirk freaks and makes an awkward move. 3..2.. Dirk leans in and flails around as he kicks his leg out as he shoots a fall away shot over a guy he's much bigger than... the shot clangs no foul... the mavs lose... (tears form)... why? Why do they look to me? I hate it. I hate it.... walks to corner sulking.
Director:Let's try something a little different.

T-mac's commercial:
Director:
NBA playoffs with T-mac take one anddddddd ACTION!
T-Mac:96 feet to the win with the Rockets down one. Macgrady takes the in bounds with 10 seconds left... The walls are closing in... Macgrady makes a behind the back crossover move. Yao is wide open and a foot taller than everyone else.  Macgrady makes another spin move there's no one between him and the basket. He makes a move 3 seconds left... He's going down the lane... He grabs his throat! It seems that he's choking...Macgrady is on the ground gasping for breath. He has choked as time runs out!

Needless to say the NBA didn't find these commercials to be very uplifting for the league and decided that they should go with a slightly different angle.
