Aggie Athletics is really starting to come around an not in just one sport either. The Aggies are closer now than they've ever been to winning the State Farm Lonstar Showdown since it began.  Aggie ace, Amanda Scarborough, pitched a three hit shutout with 7 strikeouts and helped her own cause with an RBI in the third.  Scarborough was dominant over almost the entire lineup giving up two hits to one player, Kacie Gaskin.  With the win the Lady Aggies brought the score of the Lonstar Showdown 7.5 pts for the Ags and 8.5 pts for the sips.  The only events left in the showdown are Mens and Womens Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 11th to the 13th and the season ending baseball series with 1 game in College Station and 2 in Austin.  The Lady Aggies track team won the indoor track championships and the longhorn men won their championships. If that holds true then that would leave the Aggies a point behind going into the baseball series where the team that wins 2 of 3 games. The biggest problem is that in that scenario the best we could do is tie the sips and based on tie breakers they would actually win the showdown.  So let's hope that our guys can pull it out and win this dang thing.  Come on Ags lets pull this out.
